If you join a queue as a customer

You don't create an account. To take your place in line we ask for:

• Your name, which the salon and the other people waiting in that line can see.
• Your mobile number, which only the salon can see. It is used so the salon can reach you, and never shown to other customers.
• Whether you're happy for the salon to message you on WhatsApp. This is a choice you make on the join screen, and the salon sends any message itself from its own phone.
• A random anonymous ID created on your phone. It only lets your phone leave the line or switch alerts on for your own ticket.
• A notification address for your phone, if you turn alerts on, so we can tell you when your turn is near.

If you run a salon

To set up and run your salon we hold:

• Your email address and password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your password.
• Your salon's name, address, phone number, optional PAN and Google review link, and any photos you upload.
• Your staff's names, roles and photos, and your services and prices.
• The amount charged on each finished visit, which builds your daily and weekly totals.
• A monthly record, by Nepali month, of the sales recorded in the app. It holds daily totals only, with no customer details, and it is what your fee is worked out from.

How long we keep it

Every night at midnight Nepal time, anyone still in a queue is removed from it and every customer phone number is erased from our records.

The record of a finished visit (the service, the amount and the staff member) stays with the salon's sales totals and monthly billing record until the salon deletes its account.

Who else handles it

We use Google Firebase to sign owners in, store data and run the app's servers. Alerts are delivered through Expo's notification service and Apple's or Google's push networks. We don't sell your information and we don't run advertising.

Your choices

• Leave a queue at any time from your ticket.
• Turn alerts off in your phone's settings.
• Salon owners can delete their account in the app under Settings, then Delete account. That permanently removes the salon, its staff, services and records, and the login.

Children

LainMa isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and the date above.
